Clive Booker has over twenty five years experience in a variety of specialized  project types both in the United States and abroad. It is his earlier international experience that serves as a unique foundation for his approach to design and his ability to understand and respond effectively to the individual needs of each client.

Whilst in the UK, he saw involvement in a variety of internationally acclaimed Museum and Cultural projects in Europe and the Middle East, notably the London Museum, London, England; the London Treasury at St Pauls Cathedral, London and the King Faisal Foundation Cultural Center, Saudi Arabia.

For the last twenty years residing in Florida he has become focused on Hospitality design throughout the United States, the Caribbean and South America. Client experience includes work for Hilton Hotel Company, Hilton International, Omni Hotels, Host Marriott, Marriott International, the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company as well as for individual privately owned Hotels, Resorts, Golf Clubs, Yacht Clubs and Spas.

Selected hotel project experience includes The British Colonial Hilton, Nassau, Bahamas;The Naples Bay Resort, Naples; The Caribe Hilton, San Juan, Puerto Rico; Sunset Cove, Marco Island; The Q Club Resort & Residences, Ft Lauderdale; The Ritz-Carlton St Thomas, USVI; the Ritz-Carlton San Juan Hotel & Casino, Puerto Rico; Marriott’s Orlando World Center Hotel, and Marriott’s Harbor Beach Resort, Ft Lauderdale.

Spa and Club experience includes the Spa Palazzo at the Boca Raton Hotel and Resort, Boca Raton, The Spa at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort, Ft Lauderdale,; La Gorce Country Club, Miami; The Naples Yacht Club, Florida and the The Marco Island Yacht Club, Florida. He maintains involvement in all aspects of the design process particulary in the initial concept and development phases and believes that the client is an integral member of the design team whilst at the same time recognizing that good design does not necessarily have to be expensive as a service or as an overall project cost.

Prior to forming DSI in 2002, he served as the Director of Hospitality Design in the Miami office of RTKL Associates, an internationally recognized Architectural and Interior Design company. 

Clive Booker graduated in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Architecture from the University of Kingston Upon Thames, London and received the Royal Society of Arts Award for 3D Design later that year.  He was a National Gold Key Award Finalist for Hospitality Design in a joint venture with Howard Snoweiss Design Group for the Ritz-Carlton Grand Palazzo Hotel in St Thomas.
